The useful stuff, without the small print headache

Wedding questions, answered clearly

Everything you need to know about booking, travel, delivery, wedding-day coverage and what happens after the confetti has settled.

No mystery, no weird surprises

The details that help you plan confidently

Wedding planning already comes with enough moving parts, so this page keeps the practical details simple. These answers cover the things couples ask most often before booking Nimble for photography or videography.

If your plans are unusual, wonderfully specific or still a little bit up in the air, that is completely fine. The initial chat is there to talk everything through properly.

Booking & payments

Securing your date

Once you are happy that Nimble feels like the right fit, the booking process is straightforward.

How do I secure my wedding date?

A booking payment of 50% of the total cost secures your date. This payment is non-refundable once paid.

When is the remaining balance due?

The remaining balance is due two weeks before the wedding. This means the practical side is sorted before the day itself arrives.

What happens during the initial consultation?

It is a relaxed conversation about your plans, timings, venue, the people involved and anything that will help Ben make the experience feel comfortable. It is also where travel arrangements and any unusual requirements can be discussed clearly.

Packages & travel

Choosing the right coverage

Photography has three options, while videography is kept deliberately simple with one full-day package.

What photography packages are available?

Nimble offers Prep + Ceremony, Until the Speeches and Full Day photography packages. Full details and current prices are available on the Wedding Photography page.

What videography package is available?

Videography is offered as one full-day package, covering preparations through to the final dance. It includes an edited highlight film, ceremony and speech highlights, plus unedited recordings of the full ceremony and speeches. See the Wedding Videography page for full details.

Is travel included?

All travel within Norfolk and Suffolk is included. Weddings outside those areas may involve a separate charge for travel and, where needed, accommodation. Any additional cost will be discussed during the initial consultation before you commit.

The wedding day

Coverage without clock-watching

Ben keeps the day relaxed, while still making sure the agreed coverage is clear.

Do we need to provide a meal?

For full-day bookings, a hot meal is requested. It does not need to be the same meal as your guests, but having something substantial helps Ben stay focused and ready for the evening coverage.

What if the day runs slightly late?

Small overruns are absolutely fine. Ben is not going to disappear because something moved by a few minutes. If coverage runs more than 60 minutes beyond the agreed finish time, an additional charge may be made.

Will we be told how to pose all day?

No. The approach is natural and low-pressure. Ben will offer gentle direction when it helps, particularly for group photographs or a few relaxed couple portraits, then step back and let the real moments happen.

Delivery & files

After the wedding

Your finished photographs and films are carefully edited rather than rushed out.

When will we receive our photographs?

The aim is to deliver wedding photographs within around one month of the wedding date. Ben also tries to send a small selection of favourite sneak peeks within one week.

When will we receive our wedding film?

Wedding films involve significantly more editing, so they are typically delivered within three to four months of the wedding date.

How many photographs will we receive?

There is no fixed or typical number promised. Every wedding is different, and Ben would rather deliver the complete set of meaningful, well-edited images than over-promise a number that may not suit your day.

Do you provide RAW or unedited photograph files?

No. RAW files are not supplied. The editing is part of the finished Nimble style and ensures the photographs are delivered consistently and at a professional standard.

Privacy, printing & sharing

Your photographs, your choice

You should feel comfortable with how your wedding images are used after the day.

Can we print and share our photographs?

Yes. You are welcome to print your photographs and share them with friends and family. For the best colour, paper and finish, professional prints ordered through Nimble are recommended, but you are not restricted to using them.

Will our photographs appear on social media or in advertising?

Only with your permission. Couples choose whether their images may be used by Nimble for the website, portfolio, advertising or social media. Your choice will be respected.

Contacting Ben

Keeping communication easy

Clear communication matters, especially when there are lots of wedding details to keep track of.

What is the best way to get in touch?

Email is the preferred method because it keeps dates, timings and decisions together in one place. You can contact Ben at ben@nimblenorfolk.co.uk.

Are consultations online or in person?

Consultations usually take place through Zoom, which keeps things easy wherever you live. In-person meetings can also be arranged where couples are able to travel.

Still unsure about something? Ask. There is no silly wedding question, and it is always better to talk through a detail than sit wondering about it.
